DW said to me last night..."honey, I all Disney'ed out. Next we have to do something else." I knew this day was coming so I'm not as sad as I thought I would be. This would have been the 3rd time in 4 years that we've gone to Disney. She IS open to hitting US so we'll see.

But I am a little bummed. :sad1:

You can tell her what I told my husband when he said that - "that's OK. You don't have to go."

Or spouse trade for a week.... there's two beds in the rooms.... there has to be someone eles in your same situation who's spouse would happlily fill in for a week or two minus the marital perks :) LOL

Eh, just do something else for once and I bet that she'll be ready to go back. There is a lot to see out there....honestly! ;)

I have experienced the same thing several times! DH only agreed to a trip this time because I am working hard and he is retired, at home! If he had his way, we would never go back, ever. It's tough to swallow but I understand and we do go other places on trips. I have gone solo before and after this trip I will probably go solo again!

That's what I do! Most of my WDW trips are solo, because my husband has no interest in going there again. I'll be there Saturday for the 3rd time this year. :woohoo:

What about a Disney cruise, all the magic of Disney though more relaxing than the parks and the bonus is that you get to experience other destinations. Disney's private island Castaway Cay is reason enough to cruise, just breathtaking. My Dh isn't a huge WDW fan but loves cruising DCL.

If you do Universal Studios, make sure to stay on-site. It makes all the difference. :thumbsup2

Also, consider something completely different, vacation-wise. Old Orchard Beach, Maine, is a LOT of fun, especially if you can rent a cabin on the shore. Prince Edward Island is a great place to visit - try to get a room in Charlottetown. You can walk to practically everything from there, and whatever you can't walk to is only a short drive/shuttle away. And there's always European tours. Heck, maybe your wife would be open to a Disney foreign tour or cruise as a compromise - you get your Disney fix, she gets variety.

You could do the Aulani resort in Hawaii on your next trip. Or the Disney resort at Hilton Head. Or Disney's Vero Beach resort. Or an Adventures by Disney trip. Those are all different. And they're kind of a compromise. A little bit of "different," a little bit of "Disney." :thumbsup2

ETA: We're shameless Disney enablers, aren't we?? lol

A LOT of money! :scared1:

In 2012 it's anywhere from 6-30 points a night to stay in a DVC studio room at Vero Beach, Aulani, Hilton Head, etc., depending on where and when you go. (Some seasons are more expensive than others.) If you rent points at $10 a point, that's $60-$300 a night. That's the range you're looking at for Disney World resorts -- from budget to deluxe -- so it's comparable. And you don't have to buy park tickets. :thumbsup2

Your cheapest option: Hilton Head in January or early-December. Sunday-Thursday it's only 6 points a night. On Friday and Saturday night it bumps up to 12 points. Still not bad.

I was thinking primarily of Aulani (airfare will be high) or Adventures By Disney. Fortunately for me, I love WDW, and the others don't interest me.

Adventures by Disney seems very expensive to me!
