How long do you usually stay?

I'm wondering what others do! And is there any particular reason why? We usually do 7 days/8 nights but that's so we can get in at least one day at two SWW. We'll do Saturday and/or Sunday one weekend and Friday the next.

(This year it's 5/6 at the World because we're doing Legoland before Disney but next year we'll be back on schedule :rotfl:)

You?

I usually do 8 but never less than 7. I am planning my first 14 day trip next year(May 2012).

See, I'm really thinking about doing a longer stay and spending more time at the resort and going boating or whatever. I just don't want it to be too long. (Not that it could ever be too long for me hahaha!)

1st trip with kids was 10 days.

2nd trip without kids is 10 days (2 days at US).

I think I see a trend happening here. :goodvibes

In 2007 my parents and I went for 14 days (a little too long for a homebody like me!)
In 2008 DH and I did 10 days (Just right)
2010 honeymoon with Dh, 14 days (and again, was wishing I was home by the 13th day)
This year, we're planning 7 days. A nice short trip on a budget.

First trip we did 7 nights (6.5 days).

Upcoming trip is 12 nights, with midday arrival and late departure, 12.5 days.

Still not long enough lol

We like 7-12 days, depending on the time of year.

When it's cold, and it's all parks all the time, then 7 days works for us. We're ready to go home after a week.

In the summer, 10 days or more is great because we like to do more. The resort activities, pool and Community Hall; miniature golf; shopping; visiting different resorts for dinner - lots of stuff to do plus all the park hours to boot.

Our June trip this year is 11 days. 3 of them at the Contemporary, Theme Park View :cool1:, then over to OKW for a week.

If we didn't stay in a 1 bedroom villa, we'd go crazy in a hotel room for that long, but in a villa, a long stay is fine.

First trip was 6 nights, second 7 nights, third, 10 nights. Fourth trip will be 7 nights, and hopefully the fifth will be 12-14 nights. For me, the longer the better!

We did a 14 day trip about 2 years ago and loved it! We had 3 kids 6,4,3 and it was awesome. We did a split stay at Wilderness and Beach Club, we also had a 2br villa so that made things much easier. People think we were nuts going to Disney for 14 days but honestly it was the most relaxing vacation we had.........I'm jealous enjoy your time!!!

BTW we usually go 8-10 nights, with a family of 6 (8 with the Grandma's) airfare is a HUGE expense.

When I was a kid, one day. :lmao: There was ONLY MK at the time. ;)

Our trips in the late 90's were something like five days.

Trips with kids I think started at six days but then moved to eight and next trip will be nine days.

Eight days is good because it gives us two days in each park. Next trip we are going to hit the water parks in the afternoon. Not sure how this will work. We have been trying to minimize our park days to spend more down time at the resorts. We are hoping that with the water park closing at 5:00pm that will force the kids out of the pool and we can chill out at the resort.

We shall see. :confused3:rotfl:

I would love to be able to do a 14 day trip but that is not likely to happen.

Later,
Dan

We usually go for anything between 12-14 nights depending on how many points it will take and if we can get the time off from work. Even with staying nearly 2 weeks we don't want to leave. It is hard to explain why, we have been so many times that WDW is basically a second home for us. So when we go we do not make any plans what so ever. Just the hotel reservations and we just go to relax. If we feel like going into a park then we do, if we feel like looking around our or another resort then we do that... This year we somehow ended up with expiring points so we are also going over the summer in addition to the normal winter trip. This means with both trips we will spend nearly (a day or so short) of a full month at BLT. pooh:

9n/10d, Fri - Sun.

Usually Fri night airfare is a little cheaper than Sat AM airfare from BOS to MCO, thus for the 4 of us, it offsets the cost of the hotel for Fri night (usually stay in Value resort).

typically 5 or 6 days in park depending on travel another day or 2 (well half days really)
not long enough with little kids

Our first trip was 8 nights, second was 8 as well I think. Both of those trips were Disney only, we flew in, caught ME to resort, ME back to airport and flew out. This August we'll be at Disney for 11 nights and 3 nights at Universal and 2 nights at other Orlando hotels, 16 nights! Wow! I can't wait!

We are usually 6 or 7 nights. Our very first trip was 5 nights, and that was way too short. Anything over 8 nights is too long for my DH.

I would love to try 14 days, I think it would be fantastic!!

Our stay all depends on how much time we can get off work. My husband is military and I teach pre-school so it's hard for us to plan ahead of time.

When it's just DH & I, we usually do a 4 or 5 night stay. We also do weekend stays here and there when we feel spontaneous. Being only 4 hours from Disney is a convenience princess: When I go with my mom we usually do 7-10 days (again, depending on my work schedule). I'm hoping DH & I will have agreeing vacation times so we can plan a cruise/WDW trip. That's our current vaca wish :wizard:

12n/13d

We tend to do 2 water park days. Also we don't rush through the parks, we get there at rope drop and take off back to the resort around lunch time. Relax at the pool for awhile and maybe hit a park after dinner for a couple of hours.

Makes it nice and relaxing.
