Love that it is a surprise for the boys and can't wait to hear how the big reveal goes.

I can't imagine catching ME at 2:30am?! The return trip is depressing under the best of circumstances but at that hour it is near torture!

I think I've heard that they are still doing the celebrate parade. Gonna have to catch it in June to make up for that lame replacement for Block Party Bash!

There were a few things here and there that I missed but overall, going without kids and a sometimes grumpy husband allowed me to accomplish a lot I don't plan to do nearly that well on the next trip, even if it is longer

I tweeked my ADR's again today. After discussing breakfasts previously, Greg asked me today why I had them scheduled I'm not a morning eater and would much rather be in the parks at that time so this is good too. Hope the boys won't be too bummed about no character meals though

Patrick counted puzzle pieces this morning and by tomorrow, they will be half way there...can't wait

We will have to leave our house in June around 3:30 am but for some reason that seems perfectly reasonable for arrival day. Thankfully our departure is at noon!

I heard a rumor about them removing that awning over the fountain at Epcot and wondered why they wanted to cook everyone there but I guess people don't stand there as long as they do in front of the castle

Be sure to take the kids to the parade, lots of dancing and interaction, they'll love it!!

Awesome picture of Captain Jack! That seemed like a nice trip around the Magic Kingdom, despite the nasty news you had been given. I love the castle show! I always end up seeing it a few times during my trips! And I love the picture of you and Shelby in your 3D glasses! You know I love those photos! Day 8 wraps up

After doing a few final MK attractions, we headed back toward Main Street. I had been texting with MeMom and Jill and knew they had found a spot near the hub for the first showing of Spectro. I found Jill and Brooklynn and stopped to say Hi (MeMom was off rocking Bella on Tony’s porch). We chatted for a minute then promised to meet up after wishes because Shelby and I had one last ADR…for the Wishes Dessert Party!!!

We found the line of people waiting to get in and stepped in. We stood there chatting for a few minutes just looking around before I realized we had stepped in the FRONT of the line I was so embarrassed and apologized to those who had been waiting there, I can only imagine what they had been thinking about me…how rude!

So we found the BACK of the line and only waited a few minutes before someone came along to check us in and give us our wristbands. The line started to move and we found our table

Right in the front facing the castle…sweet!!!

We quickly got in line at the buffet and dove into the goodies. First plate included a choc covered strawberry, tiramisu cup, cheesecake cup, choc/peanut butter tart, truffles, fruit tart, key lime pie and a cannoli. I didn’t eat the strawberry, I don’t really love them, this one wasn’t for me. I didn’t care for the choc/pb tart or the cannoli and the truffles were nothing special. The rest was very good and I went back for more!

This time I got the best of the first round and also some chocolate mousse and crème brulee (and another strawberry, also not for me)

We could JUST see the lights from Spectro as it passed by, I was so grateful they had added the second showing for the night because I would have been bummed to have missed it on this trip. I’m looking forward to seeing the Main Street Electrical Parade but I will miss Spectro

As the time for Wishes approached, some of the people with seats further back stepped up to the railing but we were able to stay right in our seats and still had a great view, especially of Tink!

When the show was over we headed off to Tony’s porch where we were meeting up with MeMom and Jill. I didn’t see them when we got there but I did see Trent so I yelled out “Hey Trent, where are they?” to which he looked at me like I had two heads. At that point I realized that although I knew him from his family’s TR’s, he had NO CLUE who I was

He pointed to where they were sitting and we had a lovely chat for a bit and I delivered a couple smuggled chocolate dipped strawberries

After they headed out for the night, we pulled up some curb for the parade. We were right on the curve in front of Tony’s which is a great spot since you can see the floats from the front as they are coming and from the side as they pass by

There was nobody on the inside of the curve so we got lots of smiles and waves

I love that show!! We had one final stop to make because I still needed one souvie so we wandered through the emporium for a while then said our final goodbyes to the world.

We made the bus ride back to CSR and I laid down for a nap before having to be at the ME bus stop MUCH too early!!!

One more update to come…souvies and final thoughts. If I get that done for next weekend, it will mark the 1 year anniversary of my May 2010 trip (then perhaps I’ll have time to squeeze in a PTR before we leave in June)

I do like strawberries, but I'm a purist when it comes to fruit, don't care for them with other stuff (except baked in a pastry) Strange, I know!

Our seats were awesome!! I highly recommend doing the dessert party with a party of 2 because the smaller tables were up front.

When working on those pics yesterday, the Spectro music was playing in my head

I was so happy to have the chance to meet MeMom and Jill (and of course the girls and Bubby, they are all very kind and Brooklynn has the cutest accent!)

I think you mentioned that to me on the trip so I made sure to keep the food content low before the party

You will have a blast on your cruise, I'm jealous of you!
