160 extra Disney Rewards Points by asking...

Sent in an email and got $20...better than nothing. I did receive in the mail an offer for Oct, Nov & Dec...if you make 4 transactions each month you will receive $10 DDRD each month and if you do all 3 months you receive an extra $20. A total of $50 which is not to bad considering I stopped using this card a while ago. I never accumulated enough rewards and I used it for everything.

Has anybody tried this lately. I have posted several times in the past about how I've had my Disney visa since 2003 and have only received the 5x promo once. I've called repeatedly to ask why they dont' send me offers while they send other peeps offers every month (just read this thread). I keep getting the same old answer - it's marketing and we have nothing to do with it..yada yada yada. I emailed last fall and got 10 bonus dollars. Has anybody been 'gifted' with bonus dollars since the end of 2010 - just by calling or emailing?

I was gifted $50 extra in December 2010 since my promo was just a $150 one. My sister just signed up (without asking my advice of course) and did not sign up with any promo at all. I logged into her Chase account and sent a message so hopefully they'll be nice and give her at least a few bonus dollars! I'll update if/when we hear anything more from Chase.

Well she was gifted $200 bonus rewards in her account!:banana: I'd say it's worth a shot if anyone is wondering!

Geez. I sent them a message saying how I have had my account since 2005 and received a 20 bonus when I signed up. Explained that my husband wanted to get his own card and would like to sign up with a bonus, etc. They wrote back and said once again how rewards are all up to marketing and there is nothing they can do! What a crock. I friggin give up. I have received ONE promo in 5+ years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They refuse to give me any bonus promos and now won't even offer a sign-up bonus.

good for you! we got nothing but a beach bag. and that was at sign up time. let's face it they do not have the most generous rewards system. gonna have hubby send them an email or whatever. we didn't even get the promised 25 dollar gc after first purchase. not to mentiuon that when we use the card to purchase both airline tickets to orlando and vacation package they give us grief due to "unusual activity" we do use it for small things every month but save it to book wdw so we can have the points. i could see if we all of a sudden went on a spending spree at may places but really it is not too hard to figure things out airline to orlando and onproperty hotel and dining plan. no flames here.

We generally charge several thousand $ per month on our card and have only rec'd a promo one time. I don't remember getting anything at all when we signed up. Maybe 0% for x months or something. We also got at least 2 family members to sign up for a card and got nothing for it. We are "charter members" so we've had the card for a long time.

I have been slowly starting to use a different card for monthly purchases in hopes that they will notice and give me some kind of incentive to start using it more. Capital One sends me stuff and calls all the time wanting to know how they can get me to use their card more. So, I'll be using my Cap One card until Chase shows me a little love!

We got a $50 Disney gift card when we signed up with Chase this past December. Last night, after I read this thread I emailed Chase about the difference in offers. By this afternoon I had received a very nice email back and the extra 150 Rewards Dollars in my account. I don't know if it made any difference but I have been using the card for everything since I received it. Thanks for suggesting contacting them. More for us to spend on our next trip!

I received a whopping $25 gift card. I did go ahead and send an email. We'll see if anything comes of it. I don't expect Disney level customer service from Chase!

I have had my card for 6 months now and have put over 1,000 a month on it. and all we got when we signed up was the 40.00 credit after our first purchase..so I sent them an email this morning....we shall see!

Good luck!! :goodvibes I wouldn't have thought to email them at all if it hadn't been for this thread, so thank you to the OP!!

Already got a response!!!! got $150 added!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you OP!!! I cant wait to let DH know...between reward dollars and gift cards we have received..we will have over 300.00 to spend while at Disney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where are you guys sending the messages? I log into my Chase Visa account and go to Secure Message Center. Then send new messages...Then you have to select options of what type of message. Maybe I'm getting the wrong dept since they refuse to add anything and all I got was 25 bonus dollars in 2005. Surely I can get somebody to listen! Please tell me what method you're using to send the messages asking for the credit.

Typically, from what I have been told, Chase policy on all of their cards is to honor the "richer" promotion as long as it occurs within 90 days of your signup (before or after). That said, on a case by case basis, Chase has been known to credit extra rewards for better promotions up to a year after your original signup,

You signed up 6 years ago! It was a completely different credit environment then, and Chase did not have to offer high rewards at that time to find creditors that met their financial requirements to open an account. I would be shocked if you were able to get a point adjustment. Not trying to be rude - just my experience. YMMV.

I received a response. They told me I couldn't have any additional rewards because I didn't sign up with the 200 bonus program but I was more than welcome to apply for a new card and then gave me 20 points for my time. I responded. We'll see if they change it.

So I'm about to sign up under the $100 promo... do you think after I get in I could email and request the $200 promo? I can't find a place online to sign up for anything higher than $100...

Just wanted to update. I never heard anything back from Chase after I responded to their initial email, but when I logged in to pay my bill a few days ago, they had credited me another 155 points which brings me to the full 200 (155 + 20 they credited me after my first email + 25 when I signed up). I really wasn't expecting anything so this was a pleasant surprise.
