Zhu Zhu pets at TRU on Sunday

Check your local store for when they open, they sent me an email a month ago saying 7am but my TRU store didn't open till 9am....and I got there at 5am! It was worth it though.

I got this email too and I wish I had a TRU close enough to me. All I need is 2 pets and a fun house.

Problem is TRU keeps sending out these emails for the pets (like they did for BF) but they never have any accessories in stock. Will your kids be happy with just a hamster? My niece really wants the accessories too, so I've been looking for them and thankfully my sister found most of them before the christmas rush. However, we are still looking for some accessories and TRU and Target never have any accessories at all in stock and keep saying they don't know when they'll get them or even if they will. I'm glad the pets are coming in stock for those who still need them, but I wish an email about accessories would magically appear in my inbox.

We'll probably still go to TRU just to see if they somehow got the accessories in stock with the pets, but I bet the pets are the hold back from BF (cause our TRU had tons of boxes of zhu zhu pets even after they gave out all the tickets for them.

I didn't get an email....are you sure every store will have them? Just my luck I'd get up at 5 and my store wouldn't be included!

No TRU Holiday Express stores will get them and Paramus, NJ store will have the promotion on 11/30 at 8am. PM me and I can forward you the email if u need it.

I am trying to stay away from TRU in the store during coupons ...I was there Thursday for the midnight sale, they gave out 100 coupons but when I saw people's carts I was floored. Their carts were stacked full of Zhu Zhu boxes. They said they limited it to 4 items per person with a coupon, most with carts I saw had much more than that. IMO that was not fair...they could have lowered their limit to 2-3 Zhu Zhu items and more people would have been satisfied.

Thanks for posting. DH went out to get my DD donuts-it's her b-day today. I asked him if he would stop in TRU and just see if they had any zhu zhus left. He went about 7:30 and asked someone. The associate was all secretive about it. "Which color do you want?". When he picked out a color, he said "You have to check out in electronics" and he called a manager over to check DH out. My DH said the whole experience was so secretive, like he was trying to buy drugs or something! Thanks to the DIS for another great tip!!

We have Zhu Zhu pets!!!!! Well, one anyway. My father's best friend has been looking for one for his granddaughter (bad situation-his daughter is in a halfway house in another state, child misses her mother so bad, so I've been on the hunt for them!). I called my father last night and told him about the TRU email, but told them it would probably be a madhouse. He just called-they just breezed into the store at 8am, asked for them, and had to go to one register to get a ticket another to pick up the pets, then another to pay! And they were the only ones in the store! They only got one each (one for the other girl, and one for dd10), but that is ok! I have seen the accessories around, but no hamsters. I can give that to her, then we can probably pick up the accessories after Christmas. I'm just so glad thefriend's granddaughter is getting her wish!

This store (central MS) got in 68, and still had 60 left!

Thanks! I was a TRU when they opened at 8 this morning & got the hamster balls that I needed. They still had about 3 more accessories (skateboard & surfboards) when I left.

I was able to get one hamster and one accessory today. I showed up about 6:15 and got ticket #28. Around 7 (after the last ticket was handed out) they lined us up in order and we walked to a table and everyone got one hamster and one accessory. It was very well organized and I was surprised more people were not there.

I wonder if this will be a weekly event since they did it on 11/21 and then again today.

I got a hamster and the car. I arrived at TRU at 6:30 and I was maybe the 10th person in line. My DH stayed in the car and he watched several people go in and out a few times. I thought about it but I only needed one.
