17 Days of Wishes Come to Life- A Sept. 08 WDW and DCL Adventure 3/27 new link posted

Another fab trip report. I'm tempted to go back and read the whole thing again as I sit here watching MORE SNOW get dumped on us up here in the Northeast. I even have a snow day today, and I'm not a teacher! Can't wait to hear about the next trip!

Another fantastic report, Jay!! Thanks so much for sharing your trip, you are a marvelous storyteller and have such a beautiful group of young men, it truly is a joy to read about your adventures.

I'm looking forward to hearing about Stitch's special birthday trip! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STITCH!

What a great report! Thanks for writing it, and keeping me entertained! I'm so sad its over, like when you reach the end of a great book and you want the story to keep going on and on. I hope you write a report on the birthday trip, I'll be looking out for it.:flower3:

Thank you for sharing yet another one of your wonderful family vacations with us. You have such a charming family and always have such a wonderful way of writing about your fabulous and magical vacations.

I'm quoting Lessa because she pretty much said what I wanted to say. Your family seems so sweet and if I ever have sons one day I hope they are like yours! LOVE your reports and hope you'll be writing another for the next trip!

What a great trip report! Hopefully you write about your tales from your upcoming trip. Enjoy your trip!

Oh, Jay....... You know I live vicariously through your TR's.

One day our paths will cross, I just know it.

In the mean time, I look forward to reading all about your upcoming trip with Stitch. Be safe & have a great time!

Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful adventures with us.

Blessings ~ B :flower3:

I had to take DS to the dr this morning for his Check up and they had Peter Ellenshaw paintings in the exam rooms!! :cool1: :cool1: The room we were in had 2 beautiful classic Pooh prints. I immediatly thought of you!!

LP was sooooo cute and sooooo sleepy. I wanted to tell you thank you for sharing your wonderful family trip with us. He a wonderful trip back to the world!! :woohoo:

Jay,

What a fabulous report and fabulous vacation! Thanks so much for sharing it with us. You have inspired me so much. I can't wait to hear about the birthday trip~

Again Jay I wanted you to know how very much fun it was reading through your trip report and getting to know your family. I actually got through your other two reports as well...what a ball you and your family have had over the years!!

As much as I am sad that your trip is done, I think my hubby is relieved. Since I started I think I have told him daily that I want to go on a Disney cruise. 6 children, can you imagine the cost??!! INSANE!!

However, maybe I can get him to take just me for a romantic one someday in the future.;) Until then I'll live vicariously through your reports!!

We hope to do Disney next Jan with the kids, because of you I think I'll write a trip report. It was so much fun reading yours and I love the idea of my kids having one to keep forever and read over and over again.

Thanks for the inspiration!!
Hope you and stitch have a great time on your upcoming adventure!:)

Thanks so much for sharing your trip and your family with us. It was a wonderful trip! Have a great time on your upcoming trip - can't wait to read all about it! :goodvibes

I love that last pic of the Magic - sooooo pretty!

HAVE A GREAT TRIP, AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY STITCH! Can't wait to read the next TR!

Hi,
I just wanted to leave a note saying that I have loved reading your trip reports. I first found them through a link in a thread about the AKL club level so I read through that so I could get a feel for the AKL club but once I got past that I just couldn't stop reading! :surfweb:

You have a great family there and I am in awe of how well behaved your young men are (and your DH for that matter since he doesn't have the Disney Fever :wizard:  like the rest of us), awesome kids. My DH and I haven't started our family yet but I just hope that when we do our children they turn out half as good as yours. :grouphug: I also really admire your positive attitude despite trouble I have been working on trying to have a more positive outlook on life (I think I got a pesimist gene from my mom) and when I am able to move past a negative experience by finding the silver lining or at least letting the negativity go I am much happier.
I find that so often we all put so much hope into our vacations that they be "perfect" that any flaw can just send the whole thing into a downward spiral. Being able to stop that from happing takes a strong sense of optimism. :cloud9:

Your vacations sound amazing anyway but your trip reports are so well done that it really makes the reader feel like they are there (or at least really wish we were)! I have yet to write a trip report though I have meant to but I just couldn't seem to find a way to start so after our trip to WDW in Dec. 2010 I will try to use your reports as writing inspiration and finally post a report.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your very full schedule (can't imagine having four boys :scared1:) to share your wonderful experiences with us here on the boards. Can't wait for the next report! popcorn::

Jay this has been a wonderful TR!! I know you are getting ready for your super birthday trip with Stitch, that will be so much fun! I am looking forward to hearing about the adventures of Mom and Stitch. :goodvibes Make sure you have him take some pictures of you! :) Have a wonderful time....... :wizard:

Jay, thanks so much for all the effort that went into this TR and for sharing your lovely family for the last months. You made us feel a part of the adventure and I wish you a wonderful upcoming trip! :)

First of all...you guys are all too sweet. :goodvibes I do however, thank you so very much for all of your kind words. It has made me all warm and smiley to read your comments. WHICH...I don't have the time to respond to each of them in the fashion that they deserve right now (I am trying to throw together so many last minute details/packing/everything else before I leave in less than 48 hours!!).

I did want to share a very exciting tidbit about the trip that is coming up...I just got an email with the personalized menu for Stitch's birthday meal. You see, I sort of got addicted to planning surprises at the Grand Floridian. :rotfl: Knowing it was just the two of us, I wasn't looking to plan a big adventure/luncheon/cruise. What I wanted would be more Stitch's style...laid back. So, I called up and talked to one very creative CM within their private dining division. She suggested a private meal catered for us on a semi private balcony timed to be able to watch Wishes. She told me to send her a list of our likes and dislikes and that the chef would personalize a menu for us. I had no idea what the chef would come up with.

I also worked with her and the pastry chef on creating something special for his dessert. So, I picked a Toy Story theme (a reoccuring birthday cake theme for him, the Toy Story movies are his favorite movies ever).

Here is what the chef and pastry chef came up with. :):):)

Jay's Meal
Lobster Bisque
Field Greens with Fresh Sliced Strawberries, Feta Cheese and
Roasted Cashews, served with a Strawberry Vinaigrette
Mickey Cheese Flatbread
Grilled Filet accompanied by Sautéed Shrimp, served
with Sautéed Brocollini and a Saffron Cream Sauce

Stitch's Meal
Chicken Noodle Soup
Baby Spinach Salad (plain)
Mickey Cheese Flatbread
Grilled Filet accompanied by Homemade French Fries, Corn and Corn Bread

Over our "Wishes" fireworks a special "Toy Story" dessert will be served.

:woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay: Stitch has NO IDEA! And I am so very excited!:woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay:

Anyhow, I am very sorry to go so off topic here...I just don't have a PTR to share this on and I am too excited to keep it to myself, dh is sick of me whispering to him about it and I don't trust that either of his big brothers will be able to not let this slip before we leave.
