For all who have appreciated Teena's help on this board and/or have been lucky enough to meet her in person, you should know that she has a birthday coming up this month on December 22nd. Happy Birthday Teena!

I have had the pleasure of meeting Teena. She is so kind and helpful and of course a wealth of knowledge. She is very much appreciated by my family. :goodvibes

Teena - Happy Birthday!

Belle72 - If you are worried about your waterview room due to construction noise from SAB, not to worry. There are many water view rooms and a good percentage of them do not overlook SAB. Just request a water view room with a view of Crescent Lake / not overlooking SAB.

Hope that helps!

Hi Teena:wave2:
You mentioned a few weeks back that BCV would undergo rehab after Beach Club. Is that still a go?

Happy Birthday!

I haven't been in any of the finished rooms yet. I heard it wasn't as extensive as the BC. I will try to check a room out on Sunday and let you know.

Teena, thanks for that update on BCV.:goodvibes

I'm staying at the BCV for the first time in a studio and had a few questoins that I figured people on this thread would know the answers to...the answers may even be here somewhere, but with 100 pages, it makes it tough to find

How big is the fridge? Is it bigger than the standard fridges they give you in a moderate/deluxe regular room? Can you fit a bottle of wine/champagne? I know that is not the preferred method, but it is either that or

Do they have an ice bucket? I've been known to use that in a pinch as well.

Is the check-in at the BCV or at the Beach Club resort? I thought I read that you had to check in at the Beach Club resort. Just want to make sure I get dropped off at the right place.

What is the order of the bus route? If I want to tour the area, which resort does the bus pick up last before it heads to the park? I'll end up there.

Thanks!

The studio refrigerator is larger than those in the deluxe resorts. Plenty of room for a bottle of champagne. It is an undercounter style and does have a freezer. There will be an ice bucket as well.

Check in is in the lobby of the BC.

We don't use the buses very much but in my experience, it is YC>BC>MK>YC>BC for that park. I've ridden the bus back from DAK twice and both times we stopped at the Swolphin then on to YC>BC. There are no buses to Epcot or DHS. Not sure at all about DTD buses.

Have fun at BCV!:cool1:

Thanks for the info!

Is ther anything I should consider about room requests? Do all rooms have a balcony/patio? Is any location better than others? We'll be walking to Epcot mostly, as well as touring the Boardwalk/BC/YC area.

It's an aniversary trip without the kids, so I was just going to request a quieter location. Anything more specific anyone would recommend?

Hi BC/YC experts! I'm counting down to our first stay at the BCVs in March. Since it will be my in-laws first Disney trip ever, I was thinking of adding a little extra magic by having room service deliver something special to the room. I've seen pics of a chocolate monorail at the Contemporary and fancy chocolate-covered strawberries from the Wilderness Lodge. Does the BC do anything like this? Does anyone have any specific recommendations that might be enjoyed?

Thanks so, so much! :goodvibes

Does anyone have current photos of a BCV studio room? I hope they have refurbed the BCV the same as the BC!!

Hi! I just booked for late may (21-28) at the BC. This is our first visit in may, we usually go in september. ( changed our ressies because of 4/3 special) I'm just a little nervous about how is the resort/parks are crowded in this time of year. Anybody who have been there in this period can tell me?:goodvibes

We are a family of 4 and this trip is special because we invited my mom and stepmother and I want to make the right decision...

I'm not sure about the Studio room, but they did add the new sofa beds to the 2br room at the Villas. They still have the old analog TV on the Villas side. the BC Resort side does have the HDTV in the rooms.

The DTD busses goes from Swan>Dolphin>YC>BC>BW. Hope this helps.:grouphug:

Hi everyone!

Just made our reservations today for a 7 night YC stay in May. SO EXCITED. I love the location, look of Stormalong Bay and the nearby dining options. I spent a while deliberating between the YC and BC, but ended up deciding on the YC because it is just my mom and I and we are looking for a slightly more formal, quiet resort.

We will be eating at Cape May in two weeks, so we can't wait to tour the resorts in person. Just popping in to introduce myself.:goodvibes

This thread helped influence my decision to change my reservation to the YC. I originally booked our trip from Jan 25th - Feb. 1st at the GF. However, I contacted the travel agent and changed it to the YC with concierge. Hopefully we get a couple of nice days where my dd(11) can enjoy a few days at the pool.

I know I'm a horrible df for taking her out of school for a week;)
