Got the reservations--3 standard rooms at POR 9/14-9/21 :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Now waiting for group dining. I guess 14 makes us a group.

Called AAA at 9:00 am and gave them the information. She called me back at 9:30 am and needed my visa card number, gave it to her and all is done. Going Sept 19 - 28 PO French Quarter, 2 adults and DD3 9 days with hopper originally 2920.84 with AAA discount now 2448.79. Saved 472.05. Not a bad way to start off a monday.. :)

I hung up after 60 minutes. I had to go to work. :scared: Just called back -- waited 10 minutes - got a GREAT CM. Got Deluxe FD at POP for 6 nights - saved $476!! :worship:

So, did you get a AAA discount and Free Dining?

Edited: Sorry, I just read that again and I get it. OOPS!

9/7-9/14 7 nights
CBR standard room 1st choice
2 adults (& 2 year old, but she's free! )
7 day park hopper
Free Dining

Total $1737.96

Saved $535

I was only on hold 20 minutes! Called at 8:40am est and she picked up at 9am.

We already have existing reservations do you think that will make a difference for the suites being included? I did tell our agent that she can change us to adjoining rooms if necessary ( if we will still save money) As is we already have a 20% code so If we can't get free dining I am still happy. It is so hard to fit 2 adults & 3 kids into one regular room. That is why we love the suites!

I don't think the suites have ever been included in the free dining offer. That's why we're staying in adjoining rooms at POP - I think it's even cheaper than the suite, but I might be wrong :upsidedow

CBR standard Sun 8/31 -- Sat 9/6 2 Adults, 1 Child, 1 baby, MYW 1 day pass $1231.72

FYI same dates, same thing standard at the WL was $1775

Okay, AAA called me:

WL woodsview (which I previously had) 2A, 2C (ages 3 & 9) w/ Dxddp:

Old: $4,083.00
New:$3,725.00
Savings: $358 (not too bad)

Had AAA change my in-laws too (used my cc for deposit).
3A 1 C WL standard room w/ Dxddp
Old: $4,473
New:$3.917
Savings: $556

Happy to just be saving anything and not have to change resorts.

Sorry, we've all got 7 day park hopper tickets too!

Just finished making my ressies at 10:11am.:goodvibes

Port Orleans Riverside - arriving 9/6 and departing 9/11 (5 nights).

2 rooms - hopefully connecting & ground floor in building 18.

6 adults and 1 infant (14 months old)

Total cost for all (2 rooms & 2 day base tickets for 6 adults & free dining)
$2,740.14

CM said I could upgrade to Deluxe Dining plan for $28 per person per day.
I may have to think about that.

As a side note, I checked with my AAA office this morning to see if it was possible to get the AAA discount. They called me back and the AAA discount is NOT available for this package, which is what if figured anyway.

Just very happy with the free dining for the 6 adults. That should generate a savings of approximately $1,500 per my calculations, knowing what most would be ordering. :dance3:

2 rooms at POFQ from 8/27 - 9/2

MYW hopper & water park option
2 adults & 2 Big kids (4 adults), one junior...

Grand total of $3,650.00

Saved about $1,000, and I already have my ADRs made!

Woo hoo!:hippie:

Called at 6:59 this morning and was on hold for an hour and 15 minutes! Made 2 reservations. The first one for 12 nights at ASMovies, Standard Room, 2 adults and 2 kids over 10, one day tickets for $1419. I am still debating about this Deluxe Dining. The second was for my cousin, Coronado for 6 nights, 2 Adults and 2 kids over 10, 6 day Park Hoppers with Water parks for a total of 2339. WHEW! I am still stressed!

Ok, I booked mine this morning. 2 rooms for 7 nights at POP. 3 adults and 1 child, and 1 infant. $2900 w/ free dining, waterparks, and park hopper.
I did the insurance....I wasn't sure? Does anyone else do the insurance too? I am not sure what the cost would have been without it. I was so tired of being on the phone at that point, that I didn't have time to think about it.:confused3

My parents first trip since 1976...

Staying at Pop, 8 nights, Park Hopper, Free Dining saved them $685 she said. Got through first thing this morning with no trouble!

Now gotta work on the return airfare home and they'll be set!

Good luck to all!

I don't think the suites have ever been included in the free dining offer. That's why we're staying in adjoining rooms at POP - I think it's even cheaper than the suite, but I might be wrong :upsidedow

Just got off the phone with my Mom...she just booked a family suite with free dining from Sept. 4-9. She said they did tell her though that they were extremely limited.

1st trip to WDW, and am a DL veteran. Pop Century Aug 24-30 2 adults and 2 kids. $1454.11 I am so excited. I just read about this less than 24 hours ago on this board. I managed to convince dh and he agreed it's such a good deal.  The kids don't know yet and I'm not sure if we're going to tell them or surprise them.

We were booked at POFQ with the bounceback, but I have been trying to get our ressie switched to POP as it is DD and DH's favorite. Finally today I could switch codes and get POP. So, when I switched resorts, I saved about $650. WOO HOO! Even though POFQ is my favorite, DD will be thrilled out of her mind. She thinks the Icee machine is the coolest thing in the world. Only at Disney World can she have an Icee with breakfast! :rotfl:

We got free dining!!! :cheer2:

I already posted this on the other thread but wanted to get someone's opinion on our savings!

I was on hold for at least 50 mins. and total of 1hr. 4 mins. 18 sec. on my cell phone doing my hair, putting on makeup then driving to work!!!!

Okay, I may need help w/this: :confused3

We are trying to estimate the savings so here is what we have come up w/so far:

We got POR for 7 nights, 5 people, 1 day base ticket, and free dining for 9/20/08 - 9/27/08.

$1675.35 - Total

DH estimated (he thinks this is the low side) that w/ free dining, we could save approx. $735.00? Here is how he broke it down:

$5.00 - bkfst/lunch
$1.00 - snack
$15.00 - Dinner

Which would make our hotel $562.00? And of course I believe the tickets were $378.00.

Are we thinking right? I hope so! Of the many times we have been to Disney over the past 23 years, we have never done a package or dining.

Thanks Dis'ers for giving the heads up on free dining!!! :worship:

Forgot to ask this:

If we decide to do the Deluxe Dining, can we still add that on? And, do you think it is worth it since we are getting free regular dining??

We got POP standard, 2 connecting rooms, 2AD, 3CH, 1 day base tickets 8/24 - 9/1 (8 nights) -- $1,854.69!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was on hold for about an hour this morning and had to hang up and get to work. I was only on hold about 10 mins. when I called the second time at approx. 10:00 EST. He did say that they're VERY busy!
