We Ate WDW! 10 Days on Free DDP with LOTS of PHOTOS!! COMPLETED!

I told hubby today that I am going to try to make some last minute additions to our trip. His response, "last minute? it's over a month away!":confused3

I reminded him that I have been planing since June. My mom, who is so layed back laughs at me. She knows I'm a crazy planner, the exact opposite of her.

I've love your reviews - they've been super helpful. Thanks for your time and effort to put these out there for the rest of us to enjoy!

OH MY GOODNESS.....you are inspiring me to try new things on our next WDW trip. All the food porn looks so good. I only wish i was going tomorrow. You are definitely giving me something to look forward to.

Just found your report yesterday, Hayley! So fun to read - you two are the cutest couple!

Sounds like you picked some great ADRs. I can't wait to make ours on March 3... although I'll be trying for 5-6pm dinners due to our 2 y/o DD and 10 y/o nephew.

Hope you have a great time - it would be wonderful to spot you guys since we'll be there during part of your vacation! princess:

Thank you so much! Your DD is SO cute in your sig photo :goodvibes

Not too long to make the ADRs for you then! March 3 is when we get to make the Raglan Road ADR :) We might spot you in some places! We have a few early dinners, but very few I think. But there's always the parks! Let me know which ADRs you choose!

I tried Le Cellier this month it was excellent, Mama Melroses also the tiramusu was great, the steak was good too !!

Glad to know Le Cellier is still as good as it was last year :) And Mama Melrose too! Mama is a new one for us, so excited about trying that. I don't like Tiramisu, but DBF LOVES it and you can be guaranteed that's what he'll have for dessert so I'll have to tell him!!

That's one honkin' ADR list, Hayley! I've enjoyed every minute of your review, though. I just hope I remember to take pics of everyone's food when we go in August!

:rotfl: And there's more to come! Stay tuned! I think all we'll be doing is eating! Please do remember... I will definitely be reading it! When in August do you go?

 I know what you mean about the 'last minute' thing... I changed the timing on one of my ADRs for the PPP last year 3 months out and I thought I was cutting it fine :rotfl:

Let me know if you make some changes :thumbsup2

I've love your reviews - they've been super helpful. Thanks for your time and effort to put these out there for the rest of us to enjoy!

Thank you so much  Thank you for reading!!

It's great to know these reviews are helping people... there's more comin' - I promise!!

The only problem with trying new places, you still want to go the old places... so you end up with a 100 ADRs and a weight gain of 5stone. Well, that's how I see my future :lmao:

Wolfgang Puck Express

We hit DTD and decided we were hungry. Where to? We walked into Earl of Sandwich and there was an absolutely huge queue. Right... somewhere else then?

Wolfgang Puck Express was just around the corner, and there didn't seem to be much of a queue, so off we went there. There was some problem with the family in front of me's KTTW cards, so I did have to end up waiting a little bit.

Everything sounded so good here, and I had no idea what to have! I think I could have ordered anything off the menu. I ordered the Warm BBQ Chicken Sandwich, and Els ordered the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla.

Warm BBQ Chicken Sandwich
Sliced chicken breast in our sweet and tangy bbq sauce with melted provolone, tomato, and red onions
img7899ri8.jpg

This was really good. As you can see from the (not so good) photo, the sandwich bit is more crispy than bread like, but it suited the sandwich well. I just love BBQ Chicken stuff, so this was perfect for me. BBQ-y, cheesy, chicken-y...ahem... and the red onions set it off perfectly. You would not be disappointed if you chose this sandwich!!

It came with a side of chips, or crisps depending where you're from!, as you can see from the photo. I would have loved a fry or two rather than the chips, but I was really full from my sandwich and there was no way I would have eaten a side of fries too... but one or two would've been nice if you know what I mean

BBQ Chicken Quesadilla
Flour tortillas filled with mazzarella and cheddar cheeses, red onions, fresh cilantro, topped with ranch dressing and pico de gallo
img7898dk2.jpg

Sorry - he'd started eating before I took a photo.

OMG - This was the winner! This was just absolutely kick you in the crotch, spit on your neck fantastic! Seriously, seriously good. I admit, even with my lovely sandwich I was jealous of Els' dish! Filled with Chicken and cheese, and all the toppings on the top just went with it perfectly. Awesome, awesome.

I am craving this right now :( I think Nickelback feel the same way, judging from the Rockstar lyrics ::yes::

Oh, I was so caught up in the Quesadilla I almost forgot drinks and desserts!
Sprites and Brownies all round!
img7900bh2.jpg

We had to take the Brownies with us as we were so full after our food. I'm not actually sure if we did eat them in the end... if we did, I think they were good! The Sprites were good as they were refillable! So just as we were ready to leave, I went and filled our cups again with soda and voila! 'Free' drinks on a hot, scratch that - boiling, August day in DTD!

Atmosphere: There was nothing really in the way of atmosphere, but I like the fact that it's a sort of table service CS. You order what you want at the counter, go sit down and a server will bring it over to you! Proper knives and forks and everything!!

Overall: We LOVED, I mean LOVED WPE. It was most definitely our favourite counter service of the whole trip! Great service, great - and cheap - food, what's not to like! I bet the BBQ Chicken Pizza would be really good too :) We're really glad EoS was full when we went in, although we would like to try the Earl next time too!

H RATING:
9/10 (because I didn't get the Quesadilla!!)
E RATING: 9/10
WOULD WE EAT HERE AGAIN? YES!! WPE will be our first meal of the trip in August. I have been craving that quesadilla and I want it the minute we arrive on property! Plus, we will have had a very long journey, so trying to stay awake through a full TS might be a waste... who am I kidding? I LOVE the WPE!!

Great report on WPE, very interesting as we have never been there. I love quesadillas and that one looks particularly good.

I agree it is very good! Apparently I have heard that WPE is rehabbing in March, so I really, really hope this quesadilla won't go... if it does, I fear a small part of me may die

DID YOU GET THE DELUXE PLAN? THATS A LOT OF TS RESTAURANTS! CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT YEARS REVIEWS! YOUR GOING TO BE POSTING REVIEWS FOR TWO YEARS STRAIGHT HERE!

Only 173 days to go!!

We did think about the Deluxe DDP but decided not to in the end. Even with all the extra OOP meals we won't spend half as much as if we'd upgraded. Because we're staying for 17 nights, DxDDP would have cost an extra $1000!!

We'll be paying OOP for the 4x Breakfasts, Yak & Yeti, Brown Derby, Biergarten, LTT, Beaches & Cream, Sci-Fi Dine In and the Afternoon Tea. It does seem like a lot to pay OOP, but we have Free Dining, so it's still worth it IMO ::yes:: We're paying for the cheapest ones OOP with the exception of HBD :)

You are hilarious!

I had this on my list of CS to encourage DH toward and now, I might have to force him if he puts up a fight! ;) I'm sure once he sees the menu he'll be a shoe-in....either that or I'll go alone! I want to try EoS too, I've heard amazing things...
