Closing Time!

Does anyone know how long after RoFR and closing docs submitted by buyer (along with funds) a seller has to notarize and sign? Is it 30 or 60 days? I’m just curious, I can’t find anything in my (buyer) paperwork.
They have until the day before the “must (or will) close by” date in the contract. If they don’t send everything in by then and don’t ask for and receive approval from you to postpone the closing date, they’re in default. You’ll get your deposit back and, unfortunately, have to start over.

Did you have to do anything to add the membership to your profile. I remember with my first contract, I had to wait for two emails. Does this automatically just get added?

I looked all over my closing documents and the only date that I see is 5/20/2024 by the title company’s signature. I’m assuming that must be the closing date. I haven’t heard anything yet, I suppose next week. Nerve wrecking to say the least.

Yes, nerve wracking it is! You might reach out to the broker if you haven’t already to confirm that’s the close-by date and what your options are if the sellers don’t make it.

I started a new thread for this. But how are you guys getting your points loaded right after the contract shows up in your account? The agent wouldn't do it for me just now.

The 2 CMs I had contacted couldn’t do it for me either. Took a full week after the contract showed up on my dashboard. No reason why. They just say the points aren’t “ready”? Whatever that means.

I can't confirm if this is 100% true, but I've heard if you say over chat that you need the points because you're trying to book a trip right now then you have a better shot of them getting loaded right immediately. I have only tried this once (my contract came in on a Sunday night, and I requested the points that Monday morning) and it did work for me, and I've heard others say that it's always worked for them. But I'm not sure if it works every time.

Weird. I always see people getting theirs right away, it seems. Guess I'm just not lucky. I'm antsy to get my dates booked since I already have airline tickets purchased. And I want to buy my park tickets with the current www.getawaytoday.com deals. But I hesitate to do that until I have my dates locked in.

That's what I did. Didn't work for me. Maybe because there's currently plenty of availability of non-studios for my dates? But I still want to get it booked.
