Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

The dust was everywhere in the room the picture of my fingers of the dust was the first picture I showed a cast member when I wanted to change rooms and his response was they could not since they were completely booked
Terrible! I would've asked to speak to the manager on duty (and escalated until something was resolved) and asked what could he do to make it right--move to YC, room compensation, etc. And if none of these things happened, I'd send those pics to and an email stating your frustration and disgust with the situation. I would've included names of everyone you spoke to. So sorry you had to spend a lot for a room of such poor cleanliness.

I would have lead with the toilet picture! The average Front desk CM is not going to do more then offer you a different room if available. Should the CM have refereed you to the on duty manager, yes in your situation but many of them are College Program (CP) or new to the FD role CMs and still learning front line hospitality skills. Again no excuse just reality.

The manager has lots of options available for Guest recovery.

I also just returned from a week at the BC. I haven't been back there in years. People I went with wanted to experience SAB so I agreed. It is still a very nice resort. No problem with the room or housekeeping. The only thing that bothered me is one night a corporate event was done on the beach. During the whole setup the vibe of the resort was changed, at least where I was outside. Not sure why Disney which charges enough for us to stay there needs to also have corporate events. I am not a complainer by nature but this was unnecessary. I didn't take a picture of all the staff, and all the traffic putting this thing together.

Yea, we've seen this probably 3 or 4 times over recent visits. It's not a huge issue, but it is something that seems out of place with the resort. Fortunately, they never seem to last more than 5-6 hours and don't go late. But it's quite a process to set up for this, with small trucks delivering tables/chairs, many cast members, etc. The one event we saw was pretty large, taking up the beach and the entire grass area around the volleyball court. Fortunately, that day, we spent most of it on the YC side of SAB and only heard bits and pieces of the stuff going on.

You know that the YC has a massive Convention center space and hosts many, many Corporate events all year long?

The beach area on front of the BC is often setup for Corporate events or large weddings. There is no large beach area over at the YC for water front events. Why does Disney want Corporate events? They help pay the bills in a vacation hot spot like Orlando. Hosting events at Disney drives up event attendance and brings more families to Disney.

The Yacht Club was hosting an outdoor corporate event when we were there last month. It was set up near the YC marina and you had to walk through the event area if you wanted to get to or from HS, BWI or Swan/Dolphin. We have also seen many corporate events set up on the beach at the BC. They don't really bother us and are actually kind of interesting. :)

This isn’t new. We’ve been going to Y& B since the late 90s. There have been corporate & private events at both resorts that whole time. There are certain times of the year that have more conferences so seeing those private events is more common then. It’s not any different than cheerleaders booking at the values. They don’t hold organized events at the resort, but from what I’ve heard, they take over common areas practicing for much of their stay.

I’ve seen many private events at Y&B being set up & taken down. The staff is so experienced at doing it, they have everything well coordinated. There is almost no disruption to other guests. If something for guests like the movie on the beach is disrupted, it is moved to another area, not cancelled. It’s not even a blip on the radar of things that bother me. Except maybe just some jealousy that I never worked anywhere that had these types of events or conferences. ;)

New here, first time staying at beach club. Trip planned for mid July 2024 and I am trying to figure out room locations/requests. Currently booked for 5 in a resort view, which would require the daybed. Anybody have a map or list of daybed resort view rooms. Touringplans room finder doesn't split off the daybed vs non daybed rooms. Trying to find a full balcony room mid resort with a decent view. Was thinking in the 2575,2577,2579,2581,2583 area but don't know if any of the rooms in this area have daybeds. 2629-2636 also look to be decent, but wasn't sure if they were too close to the elevators/lobby. Any thoughts from the more knowledgeable would be appreciated.

Touring plans does tell you which rooms have days beds.

When you go under room type hit resort view 2Q/ w daybed
Not showing that option for me, does this require an active subscription? I did find that it will show bed config in the room details if I select a room individually. But for some reason will not give me the option to filter w/ daybed.

We just got back from the Beach Club. We have stayed at the beach club more times than I can remember but this trip will be our last for a bit. Our room was super dirty upon arrival, the dust was piled up so high. I asked to change rooms and unfortunately no rooms were available so we were stuck there. I have to come back and post pictures but mold in the shower, shower head, literally urine caked in on the toilet lid brackets, dust on the walls, the ac broke, went thru 2 steamers both that were brought to our room were broken, closet door broke, the phone didnt work.House keeping missed cleaning our room 4 of the 8 days we were there we had to call each time we were at dinner for them to come clean the room. For deluxe prices this was a value resort at best. Even the hallways carpet etc are just so beat up. If you are going to charge 600 to 800 a night it should not be what we experienced. Its a nice perk the pool and getting to epcot but the beach club will be a big no for us for a long time. I will say if you want a clean room ask the room I just checked out of I literally had to disinfect/dust the entire thing myself and we had to fix all of the above so it will be in working order for the next guest lol
We were at the Beach club in April. Not such great service. We had booked a deluxe room. It was a handicapped room. The handicapped door was broken. Plus no lights worked. Room not dusted, the outlet in the bathroom was hanging. Just to name a few items. The vent from the bathtub was disgusting. I complained twice. Then went to talk to a manager. Never again. She was so condescending. I asked to be moved but since i booked the deluxe room i coukd not be moved. After the 3rd nite with no lights they finally fixed it. The lightbulbs were burned out. Such an easy fix you would think. With such poor service I will never step foot at the Beach Club again. I also wrote and sent in all my pics from the room to Disney along with the names of people I talked to. No news yet from then. But it has only been 2 wks.

These reports about Beach Club are making me really nervous. I have the Nantucket Suite booked this summer to celebrate our anniversary. The cost is over $11,000 for our week. I'm especially concerned to hear that management doesn't seem to be responsive. Does anyone have recent experience with this suite or even with club level in general. I still have time to move us and for the price I'm sure I can find another option.

Checking into the Yacht Club tomorrow evening for.....a corporate event. :) There is a big conference starting Sunday through Wednesday at Yacht Club convention center. My wife and I took advantage of the conference hotel rates and are heading down early for the weekend!
Nice! My conferences are normally at the Swan/Dolphin and I extend/go early. A Yacht Club convention would be much nicer.

So sorry. This is really uncalled for and Disney should do something for you. You talked to a manager, complained to someone else and crickets 🦗. Any difficulty I have had was usually taken care of. This is wrong
